5 Ways to Start the New Year off With Positivity

We're well into the first week of 2017 which is very exciting for everyone who was looking forward to the New Year to start things off with a clean slate. With the new year comes new goals, new opportunities, and new connections that can help you evolve within your own right.

Creating these connections and opportunities will require you to maintain a positive mindset. Let's start 2017 by discussing a few ways we can all start the year in a positive way. 


In the beginning of the year it's a great idea to start things off by creating a "happy jar". The purpose of the jar is to remind yourself of how many great things have taken place throughout the year. Every time something good happens, write it down and stick it in your jar. You can wait until the end of the year to review all of the good things that happened to you in 2017, or you can pull notes from the jar whenever you need a little pick me up.  


Cliche but true, a creating a vision board is a great way to kick off the year from a positive place. The beauty in creating a vision board is that it forces you to subconsciously focus on your goals. Every time you see your board you're reminded of your goals. Vision boards also make visualizing your desires much easier.



Another way to kick off the New Year right is by picking up a new hobby. Hobbies help your figure out what you do/don't like as well provide a creative outlet for you to do something that simply makes you happy. It's also a good way to relieve stress while discovering new things about yourself.


Create a Ritual

Create a daily ritual to follow through out the year at the beginning of the year. Creating a ritual not only adds value to your life, but it helps you implement structure and consistency into your daily routine. Whether we like to admit it or not, everyone appreciates structure from time to time. Staying organized and focused will help you keep a positive mind frame, and stay on track with your goals. 

Break a Bad Habit

Plain and simple. Break a bad habit that's been stopping you from elevating to the next level in life. Whether it's smoking, a poor diet, or going out too frequently, cut your bad habits in the beginning of the year and watch how quickly your life begins to change.
