Man oh man, the internet strikes again! Earlier this week a video of a young lady asking her ex boyfriend why he cheated made its way across the web. The video, which was originally posted on "The Scene" Facebook fan page was not only intense, but extremely sad.
Most viewers could relate to how the young lady felt in the video. At one point, she was so emotional she had to get up and walk out of the shot. She sat there pouring her heart out to her ex and he sat there with a blank look on his face, unmoved and unemotional. They talked about being best friends and how the only reason she forgave him for the things he did was because he was her best friend. When asked how many times he cheated he responded "I wasn't counting". When asked what he did while he was cheating he responds "I did everything". *Insert long, hard sigh here*
The reason this video has become so popular is because almost everyone has felt like "hurt bae" at some point. If you haven't congrats to you for remaining unscathed but the rest of us were teary eyed watching the young lovers discuss their issues.
No matter how smart, beautiful, or loyal you are, there is a good chance that someone will play you. There's a good chance that someone will treat your heart in such a way that you question if you ever really knew what love was at all. When you are completely vulnerable, you risk getting your heart ripped out. That's the reality of life and this is why we can all relate to Hurt Bae.
There's nothing funny about stringing people along and treating them like shit. If anything, it only speaks volumes about the person doing the stringing Only a person with low self esteem strings someone along just so they don't have to be alone. The rest of us are ok with self.
One good thing came form all of this. Hurt Bae has gone viral and she probably has 1,000 dudes in her inbox who would be more than happy to wipe her tears. If you haven't seen the video already do so now. Karma is real folks! Be cognizant of how you treat people.
