TFF MAG friends, we are super excited to share our first official review with you all! Today TFF MAG reps had the privilege of dining at the popular Snooze Eatery in Houston Texas. The popular restaurant opened their first location in Montrose (aka the Gayborhood) July 21st 2016. True foodies waited over two hours in line to taste their delectable brunch options opening weekend.
We decided to wait until the hype died down a bit to venture to the popular new brunch spot. The first thing I noticed upon walking inside of Snooze was the fun, colorful decor touted about the restaurant. The staff was friendly, and the music playing gave the restaurant a fun, 90's vibe without ruining the modern aesthetic of the furniture.
Not only does Snooze have a wonderful selection of original brunch cocktails, but they have a huge menu featuring everything from prickly pair pancakes, to vegan friendly omelettes and huevos rancheros. Everything on their menu looked delicious and featured a number of customization options.
Our waitress was wonderful and recommended a number of items on the menu that were popular, tasty, and easy to customize. Their menu is exceptionally large and has a little bit of something for everyone.
Snooze Eatery has exceptionally good pancakes. I'm talking the creme de la creme of pancakes. The holy grail of pancakes. The BEYONCÉ of pancakes. Their pancakes are light, flavorful, and feature unique flavor profiles that are a taste buds best friend.
One cool thing we noticed about Snooze is that they offer a number of brunch cocktails. I had a Bangkok bloody mary which included siracha, cilantro, lime and original bloody mary mix. If you're looking for a great place to day drink on a Sunday Funday, Snooze is definitely a good option.
Another cool thing we noticed about Snooze is the fact that they are extremely eco friendly. Our waitress informed us that the owners of the franchise are hoping to have a 100% eco friendly kitchen within the next few years. She also informed us that Snooze will be opening two new locations in Houston very soon. One in the heights, and a third near City Centre.
If you're looking for a great new place to enjoy brunch, do yourself a favor and head to Snooze in Montrose. The service is great, the food is amazing, and their drink menu is perfection. Spread the news to your friends! Snooze is definitely one of the best new brunch spots in Houston.
